Juniper JX-1ADSL - 1-Port ADSL 2/2+ interface card

The Juniper Networks ADSL Physical Interface Modules (PIMs) are for use with the J-series services routers, J4300 and J6300. The ADSL PIMs, one supporting Annex A (over POTS) and the other Annex B (over ISDN), each include one physical ADSL port that support ADSL, ADSL2 or ADSL2+ protocols.

Variants On This Model Include:

  • JX-1ADSL-A-S 1 Port ADSL 2/2+ interface card with Annex A (over POTS) support
  • JX-1ADSL-B-S 1 Port ADSL 2/2+ interface card with Annex B (over ISDN) support

The Juniper ADSL PIMs provide a single physical interface to ADSL network media types, receiving incoming packets from the network and transmitting outgoing packets to the network. The Juniper ADSL PIMs are equipped with a dedicated network processor that forwards incoming data packets to the Routing Engine, and receives outgoing data packets from the Routing Engine. During this process, the PIMs perform framing and line-speed signaling.

The Juniper ADSL PIMs provide the following benefits:

  • High speed ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ interfaces to support WAN access needs of small or remote sites.
  • Automatically configures the ADSL line after negotiating with the DSLAM minimizing configuration.
  • Provides a cost-effective WAN back-up solution.

Key Features:

  • One RJ-11 ADSL Interface
  • Onboard Network Processor
  • Support for ADSL, ADSL2 and ADSL2+ protocols on the same interface card
  • Dying Gasp support
  • Supports ATM AAL5
